As part of the 2025 annual Stay Gold Party at The Burchfield Penney in Buffalo, NY, Alison was invited as a participating installation artist to activate unique spaces within the gallery. This free event invites the public in to the gallery for an evening of music, creative activities, and visual arts.

Alison was assigned to activated the coat room area, with bright yellow lockers filled with sculptural objects igniting childlike wonder and nostalgia.

A scale model school desk sculpture was created, along with a sculptural nightstand set up with slippers, a diary guestbook for visitors to sign, and an alarm clock that reads, ‘running late’.

It was important to the artist to curate interactive experiences for attendees at this pop-up event, including a take-away coloring sheet matching a painting on the wall that reads ‘Did You Stay Inside The Lines?’, encouraging guests’ unique responses and interpretations. Additionally, an area with carpets, pillows, and a large sculptural chalkboard and slates were displayed for play.
